BLS Ambulance in Bangalore

Basic Life Support is the most commonly booked ambulance, and for good reason: most patient movement does not need intensive-care equipment. A BLS unit gives you oxygen and a stretcher for a patient who is stable but should not be travelling by car; an attendant is an optional extra if you want someone with them.

Dispatch answers 24 hours a day, every day. For an emergency, calling is fastest.

Two BLS options

SaveLife runs basic life support on two vehicle platforms, so you are not paying for space you do not need:

  • Maruti Eeco — compact, easier through narrow residential lanes and tight apartment basements.
  • Tempo Traveller — more cabin room for the attendant and for a family member travelling with the patient.

When BLS is the right choice

Hospital discharge and the trip home, routine transfers for dialysis or scheduled treatment, moving an elderly patient who cannot manage a car, and stable cases where oxygen should be on hand as a precaution rather than a certainty.

When to book something else instead

If the patient is on ventilator support, is unstable, or a doctor has asked for monitored transport, book an ALS or ICU ambulance instead. For a cardiac emergency, the ACLS vehicle is the right one. Booking BLS to save money on a patient who needs more is a false economy — say what the situation is and let dispatch advise.

How to book an ambulance

1

Call, or book online

For an emergency, calling is fastest — dispatch answers 24/7. For a planned transfer you can book online and choose pickup, drop and ambulance type yourself.

2

Confirm the ambulance type

Tell us what the patient needs, or choose in the booking form. If you are unsure, describe the situation on the call and we will advise which vehicle is appropriate.

3

Track it to your door

Once a unit is assigned you get live GPS tracking and a pickup OTP, so you can watch the ambulance approaching instead of guessing.

Frequently asked questions

What does a BLS ambulance include?

Oxygen support and a stretcher. The vehicle travels with the driver, and an attendant to ride with the patient is an optional add-on. It is intended for stable patients who need safe transport rather than active clinical intervention.

Can a family member travel in the BLS ambulance?

Usually yes, and the Tempo Traveller option has more room for it. Mention it when booking so the right vehicle is assigned.

Is a BLS ambulance suitable for hospital discharge?

Yes — discharge transport is one of the most common uses. You can book it in advance through the online form and schedule the pickup.
