BLS Ambulance Booking in Bengaluru

Written and reviewed by SaveLife Health Services · last reviewed

You can book a BLS ambulance in Bengaluru from SaveLife Health Services in three ways: online at /book, by calling +91 99868 44442, or on WhatsApp at +91 88840 92777. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, every day. If the situation is urgent, call — a voice call is usually faster than typing, and dispatch is staffed round the clock.

What you get with a BLS booking

BLS stands for basic life support. Our BLS ambulances are oxygen-equipped and staffed by a trained attendant, and they run on either a Maruti Eeco or a Tempo Traveller. They are GPS-tracked, so the vehicle's position can be followed on its way to you.

If the treating doctor has advised basic life support — for a discharge going home, a shift from one hospital to another, or a scheduled dialysis or scan trip — tell us and we will send a BLS unit.

It is not the right level for everyone. If the treating doctor has said the patient needs a ventilator, cardiac monitoring, infusion pumps or a critical-care paramedic, book ALS or ICU instead. The level of care a patient needs is for the doctor treating them to decide, not something to settle over the phone with us. Tell us what the doctor said and we will match the vehicle to it.

The two BLS vehicles

BLS ambulances run on either a Maruti Eeco or a Tempo Traveller. Both are oxygen-equipped, staffed by a trained attendant, and GPS-tracked so the vehicle can be followed on its way to you.

The final fare is calculated using the applicable current pricing rules and shown before booking confirmation.

If you would rather hear it from a person before you commit, ring dispatch and ask.

What to have ready when you book

It makes the call shorter:

  • The exact pickup address, with a landmark. Give the exact pickup address and a nearby landmark so dispatch can locate the pickup point more easily.
  • The floor, and whether there is a lift that a stretcher will fit into.
  • Where the patient is going — hospital, home, or another city.
  • The patient's condition in plain words, and what the doctor has advised.
  • Whether you want AC.
  • A mobile number that will be answered while the unit is on its way.

If the patient is already at a hospital, keep the ward or department details available when you call. For a home pickup, mention stairs, lift access and any difficulty moving the patient from the room to the entrance. These details help dispatch understand the pickup before assigning the vehicle.

Write these details down before you call if you can. In an emergency it is easy to forget a floor number or a ward name, and having them in front of you keeps the call short.

Advance bookings and planned transfers

Discharges and treatment trips can be booked ahead. If you know the discharge is at 11 am tomorrow, book it rather than calling at 10.55 am. See patient transfer in Bangalore for how planned trips are handled.

Coverage, and the honest limits

Bengaluru is our verified operating city. Intercity journeys out of Bengaluru are arranged on request — ask us, and we will tell you whether we can take it on and what it will cost before you commit to anything.

A few more limits, stated plainly:

  • We will not quote an arrival time on a web page. It depends on where the nearest available unit is and what the traffic is doing. Call and ask, and you will get an honest answer for that moment rather than a marketing number.
  • Air ambulance, train transport, event standby and freezer box are enquiry-only. They are not booked through the app. Call or WhatsApp for those.
  • For payment options, ask when you book — we would rather confirm it with you than print something here that turns out not to apply to your booking.

If a death has occurred rather than a medical emergency, a BLS ambulance is not what you need. Body shifting is a separate booking with its own vehicles and rates — see dead body transport in Bangalore.

Common questions

How much does a BLS ambulance cost in Bengaluru?

The fare is calculated using the applicable current pricing rules and shown before booking confirmation. Dispatch can also explain the fare when you call.

Is air conditioning extra?

Air conditioning is available on both BLS vehicles. Any charge that applies is part of the fare worked out for your trip. The final fare is calculated using the applicable current pricing rules and shown before booking confirmation. Tell dispatch when you book if you want it.

How quickly will the ambulance reach me?

We do not publish an arrival time, because it honestly depends on where the nearest available unit is when you call and on traffic at that hour. Call +91 99868 44442 and you will be told what is realistic for your location at that moment. The vehicle is GPS-tracked once it is on its way.

Can I book a BLS ambulance in advance for a hospital discharge?

Yes. Planned discharges, hospital-to-hospital shifts and scheduled treatment trips can all be booked ahead, online at /book or by phone. Booking the previous day is easier on everyone than calling minutes before discharge.

What if the patient needs more than basic life support?

Tell us what the treating doctor has advised and we will send the matching level instead — ALS, ACLS (cardiac) or NICU for newborns. We will not decide the level of care for you; that is the doctor's call.

Do you take BLS ambulance bookings outside Bengaluru?

Bengaluru is our verified operating city. Journeys out of Bengaluru to another city are arranged on request — call or WhatsApp with the route and we will tell you whether we can take it and what it will cost before you commit.
