BLS is the standard stretcher ambulance — stable patients, discharges, going home, scans and appointments, moves where the patient needs to lie flat but is not on support. It is offered on both the Maruti Eeco and the Tempo Traveller; tell dispatch about access at your end and how many people need to travel, and ask which of the two suits the trip.

ALS is the advanced life support unit, with ventilator, cardiac monitor, suction and infusion pumps and a trained paramedic on board. ACLS is the cardiac unit, with defibrillator, cardiac and multi-parameter monitoring, ventilator and a critical-care paramedic. NICU is the neonatal unit for newborns and infants.

How the fare is worked out

No fare is printed on this page, and that is deliberate. The fare is distance-based, worked out from the actual road distance travelled: the final fare is calculated using the applicable current pricing rules and shown before booking confirmation. Those rules can change from one booking to the next, so a figure published here would stop being true and you would have no way of knowing it had.

Air conditioning is available on the BLS, ALS, ACLS and NICU units. The two body-shifting vehicles are not air-conditioned.

A death in the family

If someone has died at home in Whitefield and you need the body moved, ask for body shifting. The vehicle is a Maruti Eeco or a Tempo Traveller depending on the access at your end, and the fare follows the vehicle and the road distance travelled. It is confirmed before you book.
